Reading Buddies

At the end of the day the children read their reading books to each other. This time is called reading buddies and it gives them another chance the practice reading their books.

We Can Write!

This week we are reading a big book called "I Can Write." Today we tried writing in different ways - we used whiteboards, chalk and water with brushes outside. It as lots of fun!

Let's Celebrate!

Today we celebrated with Isaac, Emilee, Fatima and Hannah for their hard work in Room AB - they got certificates at Junior Jam Time, well done!

Rocky Shore Field Trip

We had a fantastic trip today to Taylor's Mistake to explore the beach and the rocky shore. We loved scrambling over, in and around the rocks looking for animals. We played beach games, had a scavenger hunt and made sand castles. We will be very tired tonight! We even saw the army training with their heavy packs!
Next week we will be doing lots of work around our trip to the rocky shore.

A Very Tired Room AB!!!

Fitness

30 degrees forecast for the day but that didn't stop Room AB going out for some fitness! Don't worry they all had a big drink of water before coming back inside!

Special Fish

We used our Visual Art paper skills to overlap scales on our fish. Then we tore some paper for the scales and the head. Our fish are up in the Discovery Room. We are very proud of them!

iPad Fun!

This week we are using the iPad's at Explore Time.

We welcomed all the new children to Room AB in Primary Assembly yesterday - Jonathan, Lincoln, Gemma, Nathan, Eli, Joshua, Trinity, Fatima, and Hannah.
Joycey and Jayden also got certificates for their great writing work this week.

Greedy Cat

This week we are reading a big book called Greedy Cat is Hungry in class. Today we made cats out of plasticine. They are in Room B and we are very proud of them.

Earthquake Turtles!

Today we practiced what to do if we have an earthquake at school. We drop, cover and hold under our tables. If we aren't at our table or we are outside we make a turtle - tucking our legs in and covering our heads with our arms. We made really good turtles!

Paper Collage

Today we learnt some new paper collage skills. We learnt to rip, cut, scrunch and roll paper. Our creations are up in the AB Wet Room - come and have a look!

Lets Celebrate!

Yesterday in Assembly we celebrated with Innes, Trinity, Joshua and Jonathan for their great work in Room AB managing themselves. Well done, we are very proud of you.
