Olympic Athlete Sculptures

In Art this term we have been learning about Sculpture.  A Sculpture is something that you can look all sides of a creation. We made these amazing Olympic Athlete sculptures using pipe cleaners and tinfoil. God gave us amazing bodies which we can use in different ways.

Today we made gingerbread men and our classroom smells lovely!

Gingerbread Men Maths

Today we have done some fun Gingerbread Man maths. We have done some counting and we have played games - roll a gingerbread man. Lots of fun!

Gingerbread Men!

This week we have a Gingerbread Man theme. On Monday we made large stuffed paper gingerbread men.

Mini Olympic Medal Winners

After our activities the team points were added up. Room D were the bronze medal winners, Room AB the Silver and Room C won the gold medals. Well done Room C!

Mini Olympics - Shuttle Runs and Bean Bag Shot Put

We also had a go at shuttle runs n the Shared Space (running to each cone and then back) and bean bag shot put outside on the deck.

Mini Olympics - Box Jumping and Spots

In our Mini Olympics we had a go at jumping on the beep board, up onto the box and then down. We also did some running, jumping and hopping with the floor spots.

Mini Olympics - PMP and Rolling

Two activities at our Min Olympics were a circuit using the PMP gear and rolling on the gym mats. We had to go through the shapes and try to catch the bean bag from the jumping board - it was tricky! We showed how we could pencil and hedgehog roll.
